The SHTWFL (Shuanghe Traveling Wave Fault Location System) is a traveling wave fault location system consisting of the master station at the dispatch center, the transmission line traveling wave fault location recording device at the substation, and the communications network. The master station receives fault traveling wave data, which is analyzed automatically or by operation personnel with the aid of computers; it saves fault records and configures, manages, and maintains the system. The traveling wave fault location device detects, records, temporarily saves, and uploads traveling wave and switch data; it can also have an industrial PC configured as its backend to complete the function similar to that of the master station. The communications network is in the mode of a master station and multiple slave stations, supporting Ethernet networking.
